Khanna, June 23

A man, along with his paramour, allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at Manewal village after their porn photos went viral on the social media.

According to information, Buta Singh, a resident of the nearby village of Manewal, had illicit relations with a married woman of the same village for the past about three years. Some days ago, the duo eloped from the village but came back after two days. After their return, the relations between their families worsened and it became the talk of the village.

In the meantime, the photos of both lovers in a compromising position went viral on social media. Feeling embarrassed, both consumed some poisonous substance. They were rushed to a private hospital, where the woman died on Friday night.

Buta Singh, who was shifted to a hospital in Ludhiana, died on Saturday.

No case has been registered. Buta Singh’s wife, in a statement to the police, said her husband was having illicit relations with a married woman of the same village and they eloped recently. After their return, they committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance to escape social humiliation.

Machhiwara SHO Surinderpal Singh said Buta Singh’s body was handed over to his guardians after post-mortem.
