Minerva Punjab FC will take on their southern counterparts Chennai City FC in the round-4 match in the ongoing Hero I-League at the Guru Nanak Stadium here tomorrow.

The Mohali-based table toppers, Minerva Punjab FC, will look forward to strengthening their position at the top of the 10 teams’ table in the match against the visitors, who are still in a hunt for their maiden victory of the season.

Chennai City FC will look forward to maintaining their impressive undefeated record against their Punjabi opponents as they managed to previously defeat them in Ludhiana and eventually held them to a draw in Chennai. But a revamped Minerva Punjab FC team looks quite different from the past as they currently top the table with seven points from three matches and also top the highest goal-scoring team chart.

During the pre-match press conference held at the match venue here today, Khogen Singh, coach of Minerva Punjab, said his side would like to keep the momentum and win the match and continue with the current run, while his counterpart, Soundararajan, too, exuded confidence that the boys would turn the tables on home side to climb up the point table. The match will kick-off at 8 p.m. — OC
