New park with gym facilities inaugurated

Ludhiana, August 19

A garden gym has come up at Income Tax colony, Rishi Nagar, in which five fitness machines have been installed.

While inaugurating the new gym-cum-garden, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Binay Kumar Jha, said daily exercise was good for health and it was best if done in an open environment.

A tree plantation drive was also carried. Efforts are being made to turn Aayakar Bhawan at Rishi Nagar into a green building through various measures including the ‘Green Plastic Initiative’ by installing vertical gardens with drip irrigation system on the outer walls of the office building and by placing special dustbins. — TNS
