Plaint against Chandigarh-based dealer

LUDHIANA: A city-based medical equipment dealer has filed a complaint against a Chandigarh-based dealer involved in the sale of oxygen cylinders.

Ludhiana, January 16

A city-based medical equipment dealer has filed a complaint against a Chandigarh-based dealer involved in the sale of oxygen cylinders.

Rishi Sood, the complainant, lodged a complaint at the Jagatpuri police station in which he alleged that he had bought a consignment of oxygen cylinders from a Chandigarh-based dealer. Of this, two cylinders were found sub-standard.

When the said cylinders were sent for refilling, the same developed cracks. When these were given to a client for use, the cylinders did not work properly, the complainant alleged.

“When the refill agency men were refilling the cylinders, these suddenly developed cracks. If the agency men did not use their intelligence in controlling the cracks, the cylinders could have been blasted,” the complainant alleged. Due to the inferior quality of the cylinders, life of the persons using the same could also have been in a danger, he alleged.

The police had called the alleged dealer to the police station for questioning.

The person against whom the complaint was submitted could not be contacted despite repeated attempts. — TNS
