LUDHIANA: Ahead of the anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the police along with paramilitary force conducted a flag march in the city today.

Ludhiana, June 4

Ahead of the anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the police along with paramilitary force conducted a flag march in the city today.

The dog squad team also accompanied police personnel during the march. ACP Sachin Gupta led the force first and conducted a search operation at the city railway station, where trains were checked and suspected passengers were also questioned. The police also checked ID proofs of some passengers at the railway station. The luggage of some passengers was also checked by the police, during which the eight bottles of liquor were recovered from a passenger.

The police also conducted a march in Clock Tower Market and Chaura Bazar areas today.

Notably, due to the anniversary of Operation Bluestar, security has also been beefed up in the city. Special joint nakas of the police and paramilitary forces have been set up at strategic locations of the city.
