Apinder Singh Grewal, former Mayor, Ludhiana, and Balraj Sharma, vice-president of the Swimming Federation of India (SFI) have been unanimously re-elected the president and the general secretary, respectively, of the Punjab Swimming Association (PSA).
They, along with other office-bearers of the PSA, were elected during the annual general body meeting of the association held in Ludhiana on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by incumbent president Apinder Singh Grewal.
The representatives of all district units besides those from the Punjab Police, affiliated to the PSA, attended the meeting. Raj Kumar from the SFI and his namesake Raj Kumar, general secretary, Punjab Volleyball Association, were there as observers of the Punjab Olympic Association to oversee the meeting proceedings.
The meeting also resolved to organise the 41st edition of the Senior Punjab Swimming and Water-Polo Championship, allotted to the District Swimming Association, Ludhiana, in the last week of August at the Punjab Agricultural University swimming pool.
