Ludhiana, October 20
The Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology, Katani Kalan, organised a fete on the eve of Diwali.
The college was decorated by students and faculty on the occasion with a belief that the festival of lights brings joy and happiness in everyone’s life.
Punjabi singer Bhoora performed and students danced to his tunes. A cultural extravagansa was also presented. Teachers unfolded their creative abilities in a string of activities by putting up various stalls of delicacies, fun games, talent hunt, etc.
A makeshift art gallery was also set up which exhibited antique things of the Punjabi culture and heritage. Decorated in vibrant hews, the institute had ambiance of joy and happiness.
Vijay Gupta, Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology Chairman, urged the students and faculty to celebrate a green Diwali by refraining from bursting crackers. He said we should pledge to keep our surroundings clean.
