Rail traffic to be affected from November 16 to 18

LUDHIANA: Northern Railway will take three traffic blocks from November 16 to 18 to carry out non-interlocking work for the purpose of providing connection to the Nabha power plant siding and two new additional cross over between the up and down lines at Sarai Banjara railway station on the Ambala-Ludhiana section.

Northern Railway will take three traffic blocks from November 16 to 18 to carry out non-interlocking work for the purpose of providing connection to the Nabha power plant siding and two new additional cross over between the up and down lines at Sarai Banjara railway station on the Ambala-Ludhiana section. As a result, some trains would be cancelled, partially cancelled, diverted, regulated and rescheduled during this period.

The 74646 Amritsar-Ambala Cantt DEMU train will remain cancelled on November 18 while 74645 Ambala Cantt-Amritsar DEMU will be partially cancelled between Ambala and Sirhind.

Similarly, the 15209 Saharsa-Amritsar Jansewa Express (from November 16 to 18), 12549 Durg-Jammu Tawi Superfast Express (on November 18) and 12357 Kolkata-Amritsar Durgiana Superfast Express (on November 18) trains will be diverted via Ambala Cantt, Chandigarh, Lal Kalan and Sahnewal. The 12318 Amritsar-Sealdah Akal Takht Express (on November 16), 14038 Pathankot-Delhi Jn Express (from November 16 to 18) and 22680 Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Yashwantpur Premium Express (on November 17, 18) trains will be diverted via Sahnewal, Lal Kalan, Chandigarh and Ambala Cantt.

It was further stated that 14650 Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryua Yamuna Express (for 50 minutes) and 14154 Amritsar-Kanpur Express (for 40 minutes) will be regulated between Sahnewal and Sadhugarh on November 17, 12925 Bandra Terminus-Amritsar Pashchim Express will be regulated for 45 minutes in Delhi division and for another 45 minutes in Ambala division on November 18 while 12715 Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express will be regulated for 40 minutes between Ambala and Rajpura on November 18.

Among the trains to be rescheduled during this period are 14650 Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryu-Yamuna Express which will depart from Amritsar at 1.15 pm (scheduled departure 11.55 am) on November 18 and 18104 Amritsar-Tatanagar Jallianwala Bagh Express which will leave Amritsar at 1.35 pm (scheduled departure 12.35 pm on November 18.
