Rlys announces two more special trains to cope with rush

LUDHIANA: Railways have announced to run two more summer special trains to cope with extra rush of passengers.

Railways have announced to run two more summer special trains to cope with extra rush of passengers. These special trains will operate for a limited period on Bandra Terminus (Mumbai)-Jammu-Bandra Terminus and Gandhi Dham-Jalandhar city-Gandhi Dham sections.

Special train No. 09021 Bandra-Jammu Tawi-Bandra AC Super Fast (special fare) will leave Bandra Terminus at 5.10 am on every Monday from April 16 to June 25 and reach Jammu Tawi at 3.30 pm the next day.

In the return direction, the special train No. 19022 will leave Jammu Tawi on every Tuesday at 11.15 pm from April 17 to June 26 and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 10.20 am on Thursday. The train will make 11 trips in each direction.

With AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier and AC chair car coaches, the special train will have stoppages at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Hindaun City, Mathura, New Delhi, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, and Pathnkot Cantt.

Another train No. 09453 Special Fare Weekly Express will leave Gandhi Dham at 6.30 pm on every Monday from April 16 to May 28 and reach Jalandhar city at 10.50 pm the next day. On its return journey, the train No. 09154 will leave Jalandhar city at 4.45 am on every Wednesday from April 18 to May 30 and reach Gandhi Dham at 8.25 am the next day. The train will make seven trips in each direction.

Having AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class accommodation, the train will halt at Bhachau, Samakhyali, Santalpur, Radhanpur, Diyodar, Bhildi, Dhanera, Raniwara, Marwar Bhinmil, Modran, Jalor, Makansar, Samdari, Luni, Jodhpur, Gotan, Merta Road, Degana, Khatu, Chhoti Khatu, Didwane, Ladnun, Sujangarh, Ratangarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Hisar and Ludhiana in both the directions.

Railways announced that six trains remained cancelled for the day, five were rescheduled for late departure while many others were running behind schedule.

The rail traffic between New Delhi and various destinations in Punjab was disturbed as 12029 Shatabdi Express, 12497 Shane-Punjab and 12037 New Delhi-Ludhiana Shatabdi Express were running late by an hour to nearly two hours.
