DCMP first in NFLAT

Ludhiana: DCM Presidency School bagged first position in the National Financial Literacy Awareness Test (NFLAT) in north zone.



Ludhiana: DCM Presidency School bagged first position in the National Financial Literacy Awareness Test  (NFLAT) in north zone. Ishant Gaba and Kovind Jain of class XII FMM got second position. “It is a moment of great joy for me to achieve this position and I am thankful to all my teachers especially Richa Batra, head FMM, for her constant support and guidance,” said Gaba.  Principal Rajni Kalra congratulated the students and teachers.

World Earth Day celebrated

Earth Day was celebrated at The Lakewood School, Ludhiana. The students were told about the importance of planting trees and recycling the waste. A slogan writing competition was held wherein students presented their ideas to conserve nature. 

Green Land Convent School

A plethora of activities were organised to mark World Earth Day at Green Land Convent School, Dugri. Students were told about saving the planet earth. A colouring competition held in which students from class I to class III participated in the event. Students also voiced their opinion through poetry and highlighted the message of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”. Chairman of Green Land Schools, Rajesh Rudhra informed students about the importance of trees. Principal Gurpreet Kaur motivated students to make the environment clean and green.

Sacred Soul Convent School

Earth Day was celebrated at Sacred Soul Convent Senior Secondary School, Dugri, Dhandra Road, Ludhiana, to make students aware about its importance. To mark the day and emphasise upon the need to save trees, tiny tots tiny tots planted saplings and conveyed a message to keeping surroundings clean. Principal Navjot K Takkar appreciated the efforts of toddlers.

Brats n Cuties Preschool 

Students of Brats n Cuties Preschool celebrated Earth Day and planted saplings on the occasion. Teachers explained the importance of trees and how it helps in protecting the environment. 

DAV Public School

Kindergarten wing of DAV Public School, Sarabha Nagar extension, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm. Tiny tots did hand painting with green colour to spread  the message “Help Me Make My Mother Earth Green”.

GMT Public School 

A special assembly marked the event wherein students painted their thoughts on nature preservation. A speech competition was held on importance of the nature and its protection.

Student shines

Hardeep Kaur of SISJMPS School, Karamsar Rara Sahib, bagged the fellowship under the “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” which is a national programme of fellowship in basic sciences. As many as 970 students have been selected from all over India.

School bags award

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar byepass bagged an International School Award -2018 in New Delhi. The school received award for quality education and proficiency levels of the students in listening, reading, writing and speaking english.

Investiture ceremony held

An investiture ceremony was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir. To encourage and raise spirits of students, badges were given to them. Principal Navita Puri addressed the students and their parents.

Tiny tots welcomed

Tiny tots were welcomed at Green Grove School. Students came dressed in black and red attire along with their teachers. School president JPS Jolly, principal Suzy George and parents were welcomed by the students.  A welcomed song was sung by the school choir and a cake cutting ceremony was held. Modeling done by little angels stole everyone’s heart on the occasion. 

Students excel

Students of SGHPS, Doraha, put up a stellar performance in Class XII Punjab School Education Board exams. All the students from humanities and commerce stream secured Ist division. In humanities, Rupinder Kaur topped the school by scoring 95.11 per cent marks. Ishpreet Kaur scored 86 per cent and topped commerce stream. Principal Jaspreet Kaur congratulated the students. TNS
