Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, welcomed students after summer break. Students were shown a movie “Stuart Little”. A teachers training programme was conducted which helped them to explore new ways of teaching through audio-visual aids. Principal Jyoti Pujara motivated students and asked them to study with passion. She also informed students about upcoming events and inspired them to participate in every activity, including scholastic and co-scholastic.

DCM Presidency School

DCM Presidency School reopened on Thursday after summer vacation and a special assembly was held by the Shutterbug Club. They welcomed students on coming back to school after revitalising themselves. Through a special video, fun-filled and adventurous summer fun moments of students and teachers were shared. Special ‘Van Mahotsav Day’ was celebrated at the elementary campus wherein students planted saplings in and around school campus and pledged to take care of them.

Green Land, Jalandhar bypass

An activity ‘Sharing holidays experience’ was conducted at Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar bypass as students rejoined after summer holidays. Naresh Bala welcomed students and teachers.

Drive against drug menace

150 students of RS Model Senior Secondary School wrote letters to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh expressing their resentment against increasing drug menace in Punjab. Dr Jaskirat Singh, coordinator of an Association for Democratic Reforms, Dr Amandeep Singh Bains from RBS Roots and Gurpal Singh, a social worker were the resource persons. Students were also urged to refrain from consuming drugs.

Seminar on drugs

An anti-drug seminar was organised by volunteers of the National Service Scheme and NCC cadets at Malwa Khalsa School Model Gram. Davinder Singh Lotty, assistant director, Youth Services, motivated students to stand against drug meance and stop drug addicts from consuming drugs.

NASA trip

Bal Bharati Public School organised a 10-day fun-filled educational trip to NASA. A group of 11 students from Classes VIII to XII, along with Principal Punam Dogra explored most innovative scientific techniques during the trip. Students interacted with Astronaut Sam Durance at the Kennedy Space Centre visitor complex, Orlando, Florida. The complete journey of space shuttle Atlantis was described through various audio-visual presentations at the Atlantis Complex.
