Six ‘illegal’ constructions demolished

LUDHIANA: The Municipal Corporation (MC) on Wednesday demolished six ‘illegal’ constructions falling under the Zone D area.

The Municipal Corporation (MC) on Wednesday demolished six ‘illegal’ constructions falling under the Zone D area. The illegal portions of six buildings were demolished by the civic body staff following complaints.

According to information, an illegal construction in the residential area near Model Town market was razed. Action was also taken against two illegal structures on the Deep Hospital road in Model Town as these constructions were against the norms, said Gurwinder Singh, building inspector of the MC.

Meanwhile, an illegal building at Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar and a shed on the Malhar road were also demolished. Besides, an illegal construction at Gurdev Nagar was razed by the MC team. The owner had covered 100 per cent area on land for construction, said an MC official.
