LUDHIANA: Guru Nanak Khalsa College (GNKC) for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana, won the Panjab University Inter-College Softball Tournament held at the university ground, Chandigarh, from January 11 to 15.

Guru Nanak Khalsa College (GNKC) for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana, won the Panjab University Inter-College Softball Tournament held at the university ground, Chandigarh, from January 11 to 15.

In the tournament, Guru Nanak Khalsa College wrapped up all three matches to romp to victory.

In the opening match, the GNKC eves had to toil hard to outplay Ramgarhia College, Ludhiana, by 6-5. Prabhjot Kaur and Arshdeep scored a brace each to steer their team to come out triumphant.

In the second encounter, the GNKC players defeated Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, by 5-1. Sujata and Prabhjot Kaur accounted for two runs each to win in an authentic way.

In the third match between the GNKC and Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, the GNKC won by 9-0.

Prabhjot, Arshdeep and Sharanjeet Kaur were the architects of victory, scoring two runs each to fetch the title.

Principal Manjit Kaur congratulated the students and coaches Sukhdev Singh Aulakh and Harbir Singh Gill.
