Students appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII economics re-examination on Wednesday found the exam easy. Earlier, economics exam held on March 26 was cancelled after reports of paper leak rocked the country.

Students coming out of the examination centres had a smile on their faces and could been seen relieved. “I think the exam was as easy as before and my exam went well,” said Gurpreet Kaur, a student.

Vanshika, a student of the Darshan Academy said, “Difficulty level of the exam was similar to the one conducted on March 26. The pattern was also similar to prevision one.”

Students relieved

Some of the students said that they were annoyed as they had to appear for re-examination, but added that they were relieved now. Another student Charankamal Singh said, “My earlier exam went well. I was a bit nervous after thinking whether I could be able to attempt the exam in the same way. However, after seeing the question paper, I felt at peace.”

Tough for some

However, some students were of the view that second part of the exam was tougher than the previous one.

Ravinderjit, a student of Nankana Sahib Public School said, “The first section comprising questions from micro-economics was easy, but the second section which had questions from macro-economics was tougher than before.”

Finally, students expressed happiness as the exam got over. “There was undue stress because of re-examination. Thankfully, the exams are over today,” said Sanampreet Singh.
