Ludhiana: The tenth day of ‘Summer talent train’ was filled with fun and frolic at BVM School. The day started with a yoga session. Students learnt new abilities while participating in dance, music, art and craft, and English. Students were acquainted with culture, folk dance and traditional embroidery. Students also participated in a cooking session where they enhanced their culinary skills by preparing unique and healthy dishes. Students also exhibited their artistic and creative skills by preparing various models in science, maths, social science, English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Green Land Convent
A two-week summer camp concluded at Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, amid fun and frolic. The camp offered a wide range of activities, including spoken English, Western dance and music, flameless cooking, art and craft, and calligraphy. Students also participated in sports such as cricket, basketball, badminton, skating, chess, yoga, hockey, fitness and aerobics.
SDP Model School
More than 200 students participated in a 10-day summer camp at SDP Model Senior Secondary School. A wide range of activities, including spoken English, taekwondo, games, craft, Western and folk dance and music were organised. Students were motivated to help underprivileged children. They were also asked to promote plantation drives near their surroundings.
RS Model School
A seven-day NSS camp for boys (Unit 11) and Vedic Charitra Nirman Shivir culminated at the RS Model Senior Secondary School. The function commenced with prayers and NSS activities were conducted with proper time-management. Chief guest S Davinder Singh Lotey (assistant director, youth services) gave away the awards to the volunteers.
BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar
Under the summer tinkering festival, tinkering lab of Bhartiya Vdiya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, provided unique opportunities to neighbouring schools such as P Royal International School and Aadarsh Public School. Jitin Vasudeva, Executive Engineer, PWSSB, mentored students regarding water and waste management.
Police DAV school
Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, organised a nine-day long summer camp which concluded on Saturday. Students expressed their creativity in dancing, singing, table playing, painting and various sports such as basketball, cricket, volleyball, chess, badminton and lawn tennis. The sports camp was organised with an aim to inculcate sportsmanship and importance of physical fitness. The summer camp offered students an enriching learning experience to help them get more out of the summer break.
Sri Guru Harkrishan School
Summer camp concluded at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Doraha, with a gala show. During the camp, various activities were performed by students, including dance, bhangra, folk songs, English play, math activities, art and craft and cooking classes. As many as 104 students participated in various sports such as basketball, badminton, kho- kho and football.
Chabeel held at Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School organised a chabeel. Students from Class X to XII ensured that the objective of the event reaches the masses on a scorching day. Teaching faculty and sub-staff members also participated in the event . — TNS
