LUDHIANA: The Department of Fashion Design of the Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) organised a fashion show which highlighted the creative talent of fashion designing students.

The Department of Fashion Design of the Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) organised a fashion show which highlighted the creative talent of fashion designing students.

The show witnessed more than 20 individual design collections, spanning the range from Indian wear to western. Explosions of colours, surface embellishments and cutting-edge designs were the hallmarks of their collections.

“Punjab College of Technical Education students have been preparing for the show for at least two months. Every designer from the department dedicated his time in creating the best of designs. The main motive behind this show is to give a platform to the students to showcase their collection and encourage them,” said Ruchi Chopra, Assistant Professor, Fashion Design Department.

Rajpreet Chatwal, Unit Head, said: “The main objective of an educational institute is to train, evaluate and give opportunities to students to prove their mettle. Likewise, the Punjab College of Technical Education offers an incredible opportunity to its fashion designing students to display their creativity through fashion shows.”

KNS Kang, Director General, congratulated the students and the faculty. He said it was an opportunity given to the students to showcase their talent. “It is through practical training and hands-on experiences such as fashion shows that students get the confidence to move ahead to a professional level,” |he said.
