Vaccination programme

Ludhiana: GMT Public School, Jalandhar bypass, organised a measles-rubella vaccination programme. As many as 1,757 students were vaccinated. SMO Ludhiana zone Dr RP Bhatia, Health Inspector Gurdev Singh and MO Dr Manu Nahar vaccinated the students.

Rubella dose at Ram Lal School

A rubella vaccination camp was organised at Ram Lal Bhasin Public school. In the presence of Dr Mahindra, more than 200 students got vaccinated with the approval of their parents.

Career counselling session

A career counselling session was organised at DAV school. They apprised the students of the choices available after Class XII in all streams, admission criterion and cut off for the same. Queries related to admission and future avenues of the choices available were answered. Principal JK Sidhu thanked the dignitaries for their valuable inputs that would help students in making well-informed choices.

Bird feeding activity held

Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, fed birds. They arranged oats, nuts, millets and grains for feeding the birds. Principal Neelam Mittar said serving and caring birds would protect biodiversity on the Earth.

Book Fair at DAV

DAV BRS Nagar organised a book fair week for its students. Books by different authors and publishers were put on display. The students visited the stalls and checked the books of their interest. Books under the category of fiction, mystery, self-help, motivation and general knowledge found the maximum takers. Kindergarten students made a beeline for cartoon and comic books, whereas the senior students were more interested in mystery books.— TNS
