This fourth installment of The Transporter franchise, is pretty much a dumb rehash that goes through all the motions from the past but without anything distinctive or memorable to hail it by. It’s recycled trash that hopes to do a redux on the entire cash cow series following this unimpressive outing. There are no familiar faces from the earlier trilogy here, so nothing much to gravitate to in that respect. The new players neither have the skills, the technique nor the stunt abilities to keep you interested in the plot. And there’s plenty to fume about too.

Ed Skrein’s Frank Martin presses hard on the accelerator but the speed thrills are minimal, to say the least. While the Audi A8 that replaces Statham’s BMW 7 series, Mercedes S Class, and Lamborgini Murcielago from the previous films, also appears to be running largely on fumes- not the elemental tricks of a Flexi-thrilled automated vehicle. The opening car trick also appears to have been borrowed from the distant past. The script is abysmally structured. The characterizations and motivations are facile while the performances just don’t make it to bearable either. The father-son bond doesn’t come across as believable either. The stunt-thrills don’t impress either. Ed Skrien doesn’t appear able enough to get the job done and the constant edits and shifty camera work make the believability factor difficult!
