14 killed as bus collides with autorickshaw in Bihar

Patna, July 25

At least 14 persons, including three children, were killed on the spot when a bus collided with an autorickshaw on Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi road on Monday.

At least six injured were rushed to hospital.

The irate locals blocked Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi road demanding compensation for the victim families.

The state government has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the next of the kin of the deceased.

Senior district administration officials have reached the spot and they are trying to calm down the protesters.

Post mortem is yet to be performed as the protesters have placed the bodies on the road to block traffic.
