At least six persons were killed and eight others critically injured on Saturday when a speeding sand-laden truck rammed into a roadside slum in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The accident took place in Maharajpur town in Kanpur when the driver suddenly lost control over the vehicle which was going towards Allahabad. The driver escaped from the spot. — IANS
