Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today sacked Minister of Child Welfare and Social Justice Sandeep Kumar from his Cabinet after receiving an “objectionable” CD in which he was purportedly shown in a compromising position with a woman.
Kejriwal announced the decision on Twitter: “Received 'objectionable' CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can't be compromised. Removing him from Cabinet wid immediate effect.” Amid allegations that the government acted after the media broke the news, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said: “Within half an hour of receiving the CD, the minister was sacked. AAP will not tolerate any allegations of corruption or impropriety.” He is the third minister after Environment Minister Asim Ahmed Khan and Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar to be removed. — TNS
