BJP president Amit Shah on Friday said the BJP had given good governance to people in the past two years.
Addressing a press conference here to mark the occasion, Shah said he could say with confidence that the Narendra Modi government had given a corruption-free, responsive government and the biggest example is the NEET ordinance.
Shah said the UPA had destroyed India’s growth story started by the Atal Behari Vajpayee government. Enumerating the “achievements” of the Modi government, he talked of the various policies and programmes of the government to benefit women, poor and farmers. For the first time in the country there is no shortage of urea, he said, talking about efforts for the agriculture sector. The government had performed well on economic front and inflation is under control, he added.

He said efforts are being made to increase jobs and opportunities. The government had speeded up infrastructure projects like roads and new ports. This is the only government that had taken a new initiative every 15 days and the efforts were now showing, he said.
He said the year 2015 had been unprecedented in all sectors. “Our performance has been endorsed by people. In all elections we have improved our situation. The Modi government has been successful on all fronts and has successfully managed to steer the country out of policy paralysis. We still have three years before the next polls. The government will keep all its promises in the coming three years,” he said.
Shah said the empty coffers and policy paralysis were a big challenge, which they had been able to overcome in the past two years.
