BJP president Amit Shah is all set to woo voters in poll-bound Bihar after the RSS expressed “concern” over the “waning” of the proverbial Modi wave in states such as UP and Bihar.

Shah and Home Minister Rajnath Singh will launch the BJP’s election campaign with a rally in Patna on April 14 — the birth anniversary of Dalit icon Babasaheb Amebdkar.

The aim of the rally —strategically positioned to woo Dalits and Mahadalits who play a key role in the caste-divided politics of Bihar — is multi-fold. It will highlight the “humiliation” suffered by former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a Mahadalit, at the hands of JD-U leader Nitish Kumar.

The show of strength is also meant to mobilise cadres and act as their morale-booster to take on the formidable and resurgent Nitish Kumar-Lalu Yadav duo, who along with the Congress, are giving sleepless times to the local leadership.
