NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday claimed that the number of communal incidents had declined significantly under the 32-month-old government of PM Narendra Modi.



New Delhi: Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday claimed that the number of communal incidents had declined significantly under the 32-month-old government of PM Narendra Modi. Addressing the annual conference of state minority commissions, he said the rights of minorities were safe and no one could weaken them. The government was creating an atmosphere to involve minorities in the development process. During 2013-2014, the National Minorities Commission had received 2,638 complaints while it came down to 1,995 in 2014-2015, he said. TNS
