CRPF jawan injured in Jharkhand encounter

GIRIDIH: A CRPF jawan suffered injuries during an encounter with Maoists in Madhuban police station area Giridih district on Wednesday morning.

Giridih (Jharkhand), January 31

A CRPF jawan suffered injuries during an encounter with Maoists in Madhuban police station area Giridih district on Wednesday morning.

Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Jha said the encounter occurred at a place between Pipradih and Raibeda, where a joint team of the police and CRPF personnel was carrying out anti-Naxal operation.

The injured jawan was first taken to a hospital in Dumri and later to a Ranchi hospital.

A search operation has been launched following the encounter to apprehend the Maoists, Jha added. PTI
