Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on demonetisation saying people were dying and the PM seemed to be having a good time.
Talking about the issue here, Rahul said the move is a disaster. He said the PM took the so-called bold decision which proved to be a foolish one as it had devastated the country. "Pay to Modi or PayTM, means that a few will earn from each and every transaction."
“Farmers are dying; more than 100 people have died, and all this while the PM seems to be having fun. He is laughing and having a nice time,” Rahul said.

The Congress vice president said Modi started off by saying that he was against black money. “Then the talk of black money vanished. The government has panicked. Then he moved on to terrorists. Then some terrorists were caught with new currency on them. Then he started talking about countefeit currency before moving on to cashless economy.”

Rahul said, “The PM is running from one thing to another. We will catch him inside the House and he will not be able to run there.”
Criticising Modi’s cashless economy initiative, Rahul said, “A few people should get the maximum benefit from the scheme, that is the idea behind this.”
