Four killed in Darjeeling building collapse

DARJEELING (WEST BENGAL): At least four persons were killed and several others injured after a three-storey building collapsed in Dr Zakir Hussain area here in the wee hours of Friday.

Darjeeling (West Bengal), July 23  

At least four persons were killed and several others injured after a three-storey building collapsed in Dr Zakir Hussain area here in the wee hours of Friday.

District officials along with fire brigade rushed to the spot for the rescue operation and to clear debris.

At least 10 persons, reportedly, were pulled out of the rubble and the remaining six have been admitted to hospital.

According to locals, the incident occurred at 10 pm when they heard a loud noise and saw people being trapped under the debris.
