Protests continued in Lok Sabha on Wednesday over Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde’s remarks over amending Constitution, forcing the House to adjourn repeatedly.

The House adjourned four times after Congress and Telangana Rashtriya Samiti held protests in the Well of the House over different issues.

Congress wanted the Union Minister to resign over his remarks of changing the Constitution to delete the world "secular" — statements that have drawn protests from various quarters. TRS members were asking for a separate high court for Andhra Pradesh — which currently shares the court in Hyderabad.

Adding to the din were slogans against Pakistan for the treatment they gave to Indian death row prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife and mother on Monday. Protesters demanded a statement in the House from External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who promised to make a detailed one later.
