A suspect in the 2002 shooting at the American Centre in Kolkata that had killed six people has been arrested from Gaya in Bihar, police said on Saturday.
A team of Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad, Jharkhand Police and Bihar Police arrested Mohammad Sarwar late on Friday night, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Magadh, Saurabh Kumar said.
His involvement is also suspected in an attack on a team Central Bureau of Investigation and Jharkhand Police in Hazaribagh the same year. Two attackers were killed, but Sarwar escaped, police said.
