Ranchi, January 19
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) judge who sentenced former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in a corruption case has applied for a licence to obtain a revolver.
On January 6, Shivapal Singh sent Lalu Prasad to three-and-a-half year imprisonment. Singh, his son and daughter have applied for the licence. The applications were being processed, sources said.
Meanwhile, the Ranchi District Bar Association on Thursday decided to boycott the court of the CBI judge. The Bar was unhappy as Shivapal Singh allegedly denied time to a lawyer in a Ranchi court whose father had died. — IANS
