Tension prevails in Hapur following the death of 45-year-old Qasim allegedly by a mob while another 55-year-old associate is injured with a fractured leg.
Denying the lynching of Qasim, over the rumoured ‘cow-slaughter’, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar, who is on the spot at Bajhera Khurd village, said the FIR lodged in the case by the family of the deceased does not mention lynching due to alleged cow-slaughter.

According to the Deputy SP, a youth from the village was travelling on a motorcycle, which met with an accident with Qasim and Samaydin, which led to an argument.
As the village was close by the motorcyclist called more people and the mob brutally beat Qasim to death and injured his associate Samaydin who is recovering in a Hapur hospital.
Two persons Rakesh and Yudhister Sisodia have been arrested in the case under Section 302 and 307 of the IPC.
