The body of a 26-year-old engineer, who was missing for a day, was found in Ladpur village here, police said on Tuesday.

Himanshu’s body with injury marks on neck was found in a field on Monday, a day after he went missing, Circle Officer Rajiv Kumar Singh said.

The family members of the victim protested and initially refused to hand over the body for post-mortem, he said.

They were demanding immediate arrest of three men--Mohit, Subham and Arun--accusing them of killing Himanshu over a financial dispute, Singh said.

Later the police pacified the irate family members and sent the body for post-mortem, the officer said.

A case had been registered against the three men who were absconding, the circle officer said. PTI
