Prime Minister Narendra Modi today pledged to change the face of poll-bound Meghalaya by putting the state on fast track of development besides making it one of the top-line tourist destinations in the country.
Addressing the “Rally for Change” organised by the BJP at Polo Ground in Shillong, Modi promised to improve road, air and railway connectivity, the biggest hurdle in the path of development, in Meghalaya and the rest of the North-East under the present Union Government’s motto of “transformation by transportation”.
“BJP’s agenda to serve Meghalaya is only through development, speedy development and all-encompassing development mantra,” he said.
