New Delhi, November 20
The Supreme Court today stayed an order of the National Green Tribunal on opening of a new road to Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu for pedestrians and battery-operated vehicles from November 24.
The stay order came after the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board submitted it was not possible to open the road from November 24. On behalf of the Board, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi said the construction of the new road was likely to be completed by the end of February next year.
