NEW DELHI: The Central Government has slashed the price of non-subsidised LPG by Rs 23.50 for 14.2-kg cylinder, in sync with international rates.

New Delhi, July 31

The Central Government has slashed the price of non-subsidised LPG by Rs 23.50 for 14.2-kg cylinder, in sync with international rates.

Non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG), which consumers buy when they exhaust their quota of 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg each of subsidised cooking fuel, will cost Rs 585 a cylinder in Delhi from Saturday as compared to Rs 608.50 it currently costs, said Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation's largest oil firm.

This is the second rates slash witnessed in the past two months: the central government had previously cut the price of non-subsidised LPG by Rs 18 a cylinder to Rs 608.50 from July 1.

Subsidised LPG costs Rs 417.82 a 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi.
