Amsterdam, June 27
Describing the Netherlands as India’s “natural partner” in its economic development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today invited Dutch companies to invest in the “land of opportunities”. Focusing on trade, technology and investment, Modi interacted with CEOs of major companies after bilateral talks with his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte.

Modi thanked the European nation for backing India’s Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) membership. India joined the MTCR as a full member last year. The Netherlands also backed India’s early entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), besides supporting a permanent UN Security Council seat. The PM later told Indian diaspora that a decision would soon be taken on granting five-year business and tourist visa to Dutch passport-holders. — PTI
