New Delhi, January 19

US President Barack Obama gave a farewell call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Obama, who lays down office on Friday, spoke to PM Modi on Wednesday evening during which both leaders reviewed with satisfaction the significant all-round progress and cooperation in ties between India and the US in the past few years.

The Prime Minister thanked Obama for his strong support and contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the US, an official release said on Thursday. 

Modi conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing President in his future endeavours.
