Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday called Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fitness video of this morning ridiculous and bizarre at the Iftar he hosted in the capital.

As he shared the high table with former President Pranab Mukherjee at a local luxury hotel, Gandhi broached the issue of fitness video the PM posted on his Twitter account this morning and said, "Did you see the PM's fitness video. It's ridiculous....this is bankruptcy."

As Gandhi slammed the video looking at his guests, Mukherjee listened silently while TMC leader Dinesh Trivedi laughed heartily.

At this point Gandhi turned to his friend and older colleague Sitaram Yechury of the CPM and asked him, "Sitaram ji you have not shared your fitness video yet."

The question triggered a wave of laughter on the high table which also featured former President Pratibha Patil, SP's Satish Mishra, and DMK's Kanimozhi.

Also present was JMM's Hemant Soren.

Earlier, the leaders of opposition leaders met on a different location to discuss possibilities of larger alliances with Kanimozhi saying, "Everyone wants alliances but today's meeting was a courtesy meeting."

The Iftar saw a large gathering of diplomats from Islamic countries and a range of politicians.

Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi was not present as she is out of the country.
