New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is leaving on Wednesday for a three-day visit to Kyrgyz Republic, where he will attend the 9th meeting of Heads of Government Authorities of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states.



New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is leaving on Wednesday for a three-day visit to Kyrgyz Republic, where he will attend the 9th meeting of Heads of Government Authorities of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. In a statement the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said, the two-day meeting of the SOC member states will be held on August 24-25 during which the delegates will discuss issues relating to prevention and elimination of emergency situations. China not sharing river data, Assam worried 

Guwahati: With lakhs of people being affected by three waves of back-to-back floods so far this year, the Assam Government on Wednesday flayed China for not sharing hydrological data on the Brahmaputra and called upon the Centre to take up the matter with Beijing. State Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the government had taken a very serious view of China not sharing hydrological data on Brahmaputra, which originates in Tibet, during the monsoon as per the existing agreement with India. R’sthan re-inducts Jats into OBC category 

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Government on Wednesday re-inducted people of Jat community of Bharatpur and Dholpur districts, who were ousted from the quota benefits by the High Court and Supreme Court in 2015, into the Other Backward Class (OBC) category. The step was taken following a fresh recommendation report of the OBC Commission, said Arun Chaturvedi, Rajasthan Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment. OC
