The Yogi Adityanath government has earmarked Rs 39.48 lakh for an oil painting of the CM that will be hung in the art gallery of the Vidhan Sabha.
The first supplementary budget of Rs 11,388.17 crore tabled in the Assembly on Monday also provides for Rs 7.2 lakh for an oil portrait of the Vidhan Sabha Speaker.
The Vidhan Sabha complex will get Rs 3.44 crore for installation of digital CCTV cameras and Rs 4.99 crore for building a system of live telecast of assembly proceedings.
The government’s focus in the supplementary budget in on sectors like infrastructure — particularly road, power, health, education and people oriented schemes. The government has set aside Rs 173 crore for completing the leftover work of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and starting work on the Purvanchal Expressway.
