A defiant Bhagwant Mann today continued to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly risking national security by inviting ISI to Pathankot even as a panel recorded depositions of Parliament and Delhi Police staff in the security breach issue involving the AAP MP from Sangrur.

The parliamentary panel was set up by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to ascertain whether Mann’s act of filming the Parliament complex and posting it online compromised its security.

In a letter to the Speaker, Mann alleged that the Prime Minister was 100 times guiltier than him for inviting the ISI to probe into the January 2 terror attack on the airbase that left seven security personnel dead.

“In 2001, the ISI attacked the Parliament complex. And in 2016, it targeted the Pathankot airbase. The PM invited the same ISI and took its staff around the base. Before leaving for their home country, the Pakistan spy agency employees even prepared maps of the airbase,” the MP wrote.

Sources said around 15 security personnel posted both at the iron gate of the Parliament complex and the main entrance deposed before the panel. All reportedly contended that it was impractical for them to object or obstruct an MP from doing anything on their mobile phone.
