Tiruvallur, November 24
A speeding car on Friday overran an unfinished part of an elevated highway project and crashed down onto the road below, killing three members of a family in this district, police said.
The driver did not notice the unfinished portion and could not stop the vehicle, they said.
An elderly person, his wife and daughter died in the mishap while his son-in-law and driver of the vehicle were injured, police said.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby government hospital. PTI
