Top Adani Power Ltd executive found dead in Jaipur hotel

JAIPUR: A top executive of the Adani Tower Ltd is suspected to have committed suicide in a hotel room on Saturday morning, the police said on Sunday.

A top executive of the Adani Tower Ltd is suspected to have committed suicide in a hotel room on Saturday morning, the police said on Sunday.  

An employee of the company found Adani Power Ltd Vice-President Deepak Rashmi Tripathi's body in his hotel room on Sahakar Marg. The employee came looking for Tripathy after he his phone calls went unanswered, SHO Ashok Nagar Thana Bala Ram said on Sunday.

The police said Tripathy appears to have taken a poison in the wee hours of Saturday. He took the blame for his act saying he was killing himself because he was “tired of his life”, the officer said, quoting his suicide note.

The executive was on a business trip to the city.
