Getting a 72-hour parole, rape accused BJP MLA from Bangarmau Kuldeep Singh Sengar reached Unnao amid heavy security on Monday to perform the last rites of his younger brother Manoj Singh.
He was accompanied by his other younger brother Atul, who is also lodged in the Tihar jail with him as he is a co-accused in the custodial killing of the Unnao rape survivor’s father. Manoj Singh alias Lankesh succumbed to a massive cardiac attack on Saturday night in Delhi where he was engaged in the defence of his two brothers.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker HN Dikshit, Unnao BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj and a number of senior BJP leaders attended the cremation. — TNS
