Have you ever wondered why certain people are more successful than others? How they are more talented?

Well, the answer to this is simple and surprising. Everybody in this world has one or more talent. We know the stories of people from rags to riches, the discoveries of mankind and numerous other inventions. Now, these are the people who we think were born with extra-ordinary gifts from nature. But the truth is that these people realised their inner potential; their hidden talent. Most of us, however, don’t realise these talents or don’t even know of their existence. So how can one recognise one’s true talent?

Well, it’s no rocket science and imbibing a few life-changing activities can lead us to realise our hidden talents. Let's discover brilliance with few simple things in life:

Meditate
To achieve anything and everything in life, the very first step is to be aware of things around you and be aware of situations — good or bad. To achieve this awareness one must meditate, spend at least 10 minutes every day for meditation. Each time the mind is full of thoughts, it gets tired and we start losing concentration. Meditation helps one to focus. It’s like recharging one’s batteries. Some of world’s top companies like Google also motivate their employees to get mindfulness-meditation. Mindfulness is an art of being continuously present with experience. In simple words, it is about being in the present.

Planned activities
We praise people who are punctual. These people are not just punctual but even successful in life. This is because they plan well and have a routine in their lives. Plan your activities in the night for the next day. Planning should not be restricted only for weekdays but if you plan your activities for weekends too, it will make you happier. Pick something that you haven’t been able to find time for, like reading a book, some crafts, or even catching up with friends. You will notice how planning increases both efficiency and productivity, and also allows more time for leisure. Your planning should be based on the following:

  • Creation of a daily to-do list
  • Prioritise
  • Be realistic
Don’t start trying to be perfect in your plan, treat this as a habit with room for misses, and slowly improve on meeting your plans.

Write, write, write
If proper planning gives you the sense of direction then putting it on papers gives you the peace of mind. Storing everything in the human memory will only clutter it. Once you jot down your plans on a paper or type in a screen sticker, you free your memory just as the RAM of a computer.

Network
The more people you know, the more you grow has now become the buzz. Honestly, it's not the number but the quality of people you know that makes all the difference. It's also about how good you know that person and that can be derived by listening more and asking questions. Be sure to network outside of your industry.

Be motivated
It’s true that people succeed due to their inner drive and hardwork and not because others preached to them. But reading a motivational message or quote awakens the winner within you. It’s an age-old trick but very helpful. Keep reading motivational message every day and be inspired.
