Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), J&K

Students of Jammu and Kashmir are called to pursue their graduation programme outside the state by AICTE with this scholarship opportunity.

Eligibility: Students with J&K domicile who have cleared Class XII from J&K board or CBSE affiliated schools in J&K, who have completed three years of diploma post Class X from J&K State Polytechnic and those willing to study outside the state, can send their applications. The family income of the applicant must be less than Rs 8lakh p.a.

Details: The scholarship covers tuition fee, development fee, library fee, internet fee, training fee, university fee, examination and various other fees. As maintenance fee, two equal instalments of Rs 50,000 is given for hostel fee, mess charges, books and other stationery.

H.H Dalai Lama & Sasakawa scholarship 

Wards of leprosy patients Delhi, U.P, M.P, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, West Bengal and Maharashtra are given financial aid through this scholarship to pursue higher education post Class XII with professional diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree courses.  

Eligibility: Wards of leprosy patients who have cleared Class XII, or are in 1st year of their graduation programme are eligible to apply. The age of the applicant must not be less than 17 years.

Details: A stipend of Rs 1,000 p.m. will be given along with scholarship amount of Rs 1,50,000 to the scholar. Tuition fee, admission fee, mess fee and boarding expenses will be covered by the foundation.
