The Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde is offering a Scotland Welcomes India Big Data Scholarship which is open to all postgraduate taught applicants from India who have applied to the MSc. Advanced Computer Science with Big Data.

Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships

Newcastle University is offering 200 partial Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international students to study an undergraduate degree or postgraduate master’s degree.

Eligibility: Applicants must have been offered a place to study an  undergraduate or master’s degree course at the university’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2018-19 academic year. .

How to apply: Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for this scholarship as part of their academic course 

Details: £1,500 - £5,000 tuition fee awards. Also a total of 200 (undergraduate and postgraduate courses) awards will be given to students.

Deadline: Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged.

Junior Research Fellowships

The Institute of Plasma Research , a science research institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, is inviting applications for this fellowship for doctorate in the areas of experimental, computational and theoretical plasma physics.

Details: The scholar will be enrolled in Homi Bhabha National Institute and will receive stipend of Rs 25,000 p.m. as JRF for first two years. Books grant of Rs 32,000 p.a., partial support for attending international conferences, HRA and medical facility will also be provided.  

Eligibility: The applicant must be a master’s degree holder in physics, engineering physics or applied physics with minimum aggregate of 60 per cent and must have taken physics and mathematics at under-graduate level. He or she must qualify JEST 2018 (Physics), GATE in physics, CSIR-UGC-JRF-NET in physical sciences. Should not be aged over 26 years.

Tel Aviv varsity postdoctoral scholarship 

Tel Aviv University, Israel,  is inviting applications from Ph.D. degree holders for its post-doctoral programmes to support and train researchers in or out of academia in the fields of applied electronics, biotechnology and applied physics, suitable for application and use in science based industries.
