Ludhiana, January 7

General secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Amarjeet Singh Tikka, today said the Punjab Government should take some lessons from the Bihar Government.

Tikka said Bihar government celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh — tenth guru of Sikhs — at the national-level, but Punjab being a Sikh-dominated state failed to do so.

“Even shops selling tobacco and liquor were open on Gurpurb here, but in Bihar, the sale of tobacco and meat was banned for five days, while liquor is already banned in the state,” Tikka further added.

He said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal should be called at the Akal Takhat Sahib and give answer for the same.
