24 families leave Cong, join SAD

AMLOH: SAD candidate Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna got a shot in the arm when more than two dozen families of Bhuga Kalan village, who had been supporting the Congress, joined the Akali Dal today.

SAD candidate Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna got a shot in the arm when more than two dozen families of Bhuga Kalan village, who had been supporting the Congress, joined the Akali Dal today.

Addressing the gathering, Akali leaders Sukhwant Singh Sukhi and state vice-president (SC Wing) Teja Singh Tufaan claimed that SAD candidate Raju Khanna was getting massive support not only in rural areas, but also urban areas due to the development works carried out during the SAD-BJP rule.

They said that Raju Khanna has started a special contact programme by which he was trying to learn about the problems of the people. The programme has enabled the SAD candidate to remain in touch with the masses in villages and towns.

Narinder Singh, Satnam Singh, Ravi Bhuga, Vicky Bhuga, Rinku Bhuga, Amandeep Singh, Amajjit Singh, Ram Chand Singh, Saleem Khan and Rajpreet Raju were among those who joined the SAD today.
