As part of the exercise to placate unsuccessful tickets-seekers, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Capt Amarinder Singh and party strategist Prashant Kishor today met Inder Sekhri, who protested against his brother Ashwani Sekhri being given ticket from Batala.
Inder Sekhri, who had come along with a large number of persons, has spoken against the allocation of ticket from Batala.
Former Banga MLA Tarlochan Soondh, who has been denied ticket to make way for Satnam Kainth, was also called for the meeting. Both leaders have been asked to wait for the next meeting of the central election committee.
It is learnt that the PPCC chief has assured to take up their case with the party leadership. Some unsuccessful ticket-seekers like Lakwinder Kaur Garcha (Kharar) and Dhanwat Dhuri (Dhuri) met Amarinder.
